I got my computer back! It's not completely cured... in fact, it's still incredibly slow, but it's back. Let's hope for a full recovery!
Anything else? Oh, I got an extra radiator for my room! I snatched it from the laundry room and it now merrily heats my larger room - my fingers no longer suffer from frostbite!
My my, lot's of exclamation marks. It's not because today was any better than other day, but rather that the stress of the last 48 hours kind of melted off. I still have the same amount of work to do, but certain problems are nearing the end of their existance. In fact, you could say life was... rosyish. Unfortunately, time is still at a minimum. I've now started booking meetings/get togethers starting from 9 pm. The weekends are slightly more troublesome - I'm available from about 10.30 pm, but not for overly long - mornings start early, dears.
Ok, bc I have so much to do, I was doing nothing at all and randomly browsing the blogs of people I know. I realise now that I haven't written anything here about my friends! Hats off to Warren, from whom the idea has come.
Here goes:
Tuuli: best friend extraordinaire. Exceptionally moody PMS bitch, but I love her dearly. No one else quite shares my love of shoes or coffee, literature, the biblical teachings of Vogue, or Milan Kundera! We need to make more time for each other :( When was the last time we wined and dined?
Kreet: Another of my best gal friends - Mariah - let's sing like it's yesterday. Kreet has the voice of an angel and is presently experimenting with song writing. She's always in a panic about school and always aims high. Heading for a successful career in International Trade, or at least she should be!
Kiki: Aww... what to say about her? She has a body she loves to flaunt and confidence to boot. Her best friend is her telephone. A lovely package all in all :P We have shared some great times together - our two weeks in England... James.... griping about the US. The latinos!? HAVANA! :D The good old days of experimenting with age and alcohol... glad you were there to share it with me.
Peter: Oh geees.... peter. Who could describe you honey? He's one of a kind. I love that his feminine side can often take over, leaving him to make such comments as: "The reason that girl is staring at my ass is because it's covered in Pierre Cardin 100% virgin wool ." aww... bless him.
Doris: My lurvely school chum, who is there for me in every class, and with whom we gossip mercilessly. I'm incredibly jealous of her luscious brown locks, and there's no better person to discuss beauty techniques with. Definitely a person who appreciates beauty in all its forms!
Tapio: You queer little person. Ok, not so little, and maybe not quite that queer, but definitely original. what would we have done if we had never met you? You're great to talk to... and always a gentleman. How did I ever let Kreet win you over? :P
Martiina: What to say about Martiina? We've known each other donkeys years. She's creative and almost like family. When we get together, it's hard to leave her company. We share a love of jazz, and I must admit that some of my favorite hours have been spent with her at jazz concerts. Either that or watching those independent movies.... either/or, you're my cultural window! :)
Fredrick: Where have you gone!? I hope France hasn't swallowed you whole Fred, you're one person we can't do without. Another true mint, Fredrick has an air of..... chat. It's always fun when you're around.
Paul: So we're like two peas in a pod, eh? I'll show you two peas in a pod. Firstly, I don't drink like a fish, and secondly, I do not have butt ugly hair PAUL. Get it cut and we'll talk, my friend, oui? Paul is laid back and slightly overly confident. If he wasn't entering the "I want to look like Santa" competition, I would mention that he can be pretty darn handsome if he tries!
Andres: My business partner extraordinaire! Another person too creative for my brain to understand. I'll let you work your magic and we'll discuss the sexual connotations later.
Eric and Kair: You two belong will always go together for me - I've only been getting along with you 2 since about October, but already you're showing me your ultra good sides. Thanks for keeping me sane :)
K?rri: Woah. Definitely a person who sets out to achieve her goals. I wish I knew more people with her thoughts, her ideas, her flair. She has that je ne se quois that grabs a room and pulls it in to her arms. Thank you for letting me share in it, I've learned a lot.
Mari & Piix: Words do not describe. Muah.
Juan: I've never met anyone so determined to prove me wrong. If you didn't think that being Spanish automatically qualified you as a latin God, I'd say you were down to earth. You keep me in touch with my romantic and carnivorous side :P .. I'm definitely demanding that salsa lesson one of these days - I think you could be the perfect teacher.
Steve: You've gone somewhere too. You love taking the mickey out of me, and I always fall for it....... and then come back for more. I hate you Steve :P DAMN YOU. How's the househunt going?
Warren: Hmm... what can I say? A wolf hidden in sheep's clothing. He surprises you when he's not even trying and then in his most tired state comes up with vocabulary that would make Oxford bow in his presence. Not fair. I despise people like you :P And yet I still spend all this time chatting with you. I'm a sucker for punishment.
Liz: A devoted friend if I ever saw one. Haven't seen her much since she moved in with Chris, however the occasional phone calls we have last for hours. Definitely someone who can always bring out the brighter side of things. Somehow I always end up on spontaneous nights out with you - if I leave the house at 2 pm and arrive home at 7.30 am, it's you I've been out with :P
There are so many people I haven't added... but maybe I'll save them for a rainy day. Maybe.
good night.
